Fisher's presence could influence Lloyd to stay in St. Louis - SportingNews.com

Hiring Jeff Fisher as head coach could help the St. Louis Rams keep wide receiver Brandon Lloyd.

Speaking to ESPN 101 in St. Louis, Lloyd said re-signing with the Rams was a more attractive option with Fisher in the fold, joining quarterback Sam Bradford.

Lloyd caught 51 passes in 11 games for the Rams last season, after being acquired from the Denver Broncos.

A free agent, Lloyd hinted earlier that he might follow former Rams offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to the New England Patriots. However, the Patriots already have a wide receiver getting ready to become a free agent, Wes Welker, who will command a hefty contract. Lloyd might reach the conclusion that his best move in free agency is to stay with the Rams.

“He’s always a coach that I admired in my career,” Lloyd said. “It’s one of those things that comes down to, ‘How do I fit into the scheme, though.’ ”

Money, of course, will also be a factor.
