Brian Schottenheimer is still the favorite to receive the Rams offensive coordinator job but former Raiders coach Hue Jackson will interview for the position as well.

Jan 17, 2012 - The St. Louis Rams hired Jeff Fisher last week and now he's starting to compile his staff. It was reported late last week that the Rams were expected to hire former New York Jets assistant coach Brian Schottenheimer as offensive coordinator but reports are now saying that's not the case -- yet.

The Rams are also interviewing Hue Jackson for the position, ESPN reports. Jackson, of course, was fired by the Oakland Raiders last week. He has an offensive background so he's an option for offensive coordinator.

ESPN reports that Schottenheimer is still the favorite but Jackson will get a shot at the job.

Fisher was hired last week after deciding between the Rams and Miami Dolphins. The Rams haven't won a lot of games recently but it's considered a decent job in St. Louis because of the presence of Sam Bradford and a lot of cap space, along with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

Check out SB Nation's Turf Show Times to see what Rams fans are saying about the possibility of Hue Jackson.
