Cross former Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher off the list of possible candidates to coach the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Fisher told ESPN's Adam Schefter he plans to make a decision about his future next week and will only consider the Miami Dolphins and St. Louis Rams.
Fisher visited with owners from both teams this week and did not interview with the Bucs or any other clubs.
It's not known if the Bucs actually contacted Fisher, but he was believed to be one of the candidates the team had been considering to replace Raheem Morris, who was fired after three seasons Monday.
Fisher worked for nearly 17 seasons with the Oilers/Titans organization under owner Bud Adams and reportedly is looking for a strong financial commitment to winning from his next employer.
With former Steelers coach Bill Cowher and Jon Gruden apparently content to remain in broadcasting for 2012, Fisher is the big prize among head coaching candidates.
The Bucs interviewed former Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray and former Green Bay Packers and Texas A and M coach Mike Sherman in Texas Wednesday.
The Bucs may wait until after this weekend's playoff games to see what other candidates become available for interviews. Former Buffalo Bills head coach and Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey could draw some interest from the Bucs. Or they might have already found their guy in Sherman or Gray.
