2012 NFL Mock Draft: St. Louis Rams Select... - Arrowhead Pride (blog)

Photo

Representing the St. Louis Rams, freezy1 with the 39th pick in Arrowhead Pride's 2012 NFL mock draft...

I am going to go with Shea McClellin, OLB from Boise State here.

His stock has been on the rise since the Combine and his impressive pro day in Boise. Some very respectable mock drafts have him being drafted towards the end of the first round. I tend to shy away from players who make a dramatic rise after the season ends because of impressive workouts, but getting him in the second round would be a great addition for a weak LB corps in St. Louis.

The Rams will also enjoy McClellin's versatility and ability to rush the passer from different positions on the field. While he wasn't consistently facing the best competition in the WAC, he is an athletic freak who by all accounts is very coachable, and Jeff Fisher will have a fun time lining him up across from Chris Long or James Laurinaitis.
