St Louis Rams NFL Free Agency Fan Poll Series: Who Will Have Biggest Impact? - Bleacher Report

The St. Louis Rams have been very active during the 2012 NFL free-agency period. In fact, they have already signed 10 free agents, as confirmed in this piece by Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Thus far, St. Louis has acquired the following free agents (with last team before Rams in parentheses):

-LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar (New Orleans Saints)

-CB Cortland Finnegan (Tennessee Titans)

-DE William Hayes (Tennessee Titans)

-DT Kendall Langford (Miami Dolphins)

-DT Trevor Laws (Philadelphia Eagles)

-TE Matt Mulligan (NY Jets)

-G/T Quinn Ojinnaka (Indianapolis Colts)

-WR Steve Smith (Philadelphia Eagles)

-G/C Robert Turner (NY Jets)

-C Scott Wells (Green Bay Packers)

Who Will Make the Biggest Impact in 2012?

Who Will Make the Biggest Impact in 2012?

  • A: Jo-Lonn Dunbar

  • B: William Hayes

  • C: Kendall Langford

  • D: Trevor Laws

  • E: Matt Mulligan

  • F: Quinn Ojinnaka

  • G: Steve Smith

  • H: Robert Turner

  • I: Scott Wells

To make things interesting, we are going to exclude Cortland Finnegan from the poll. He was the biggest-name free-agent acquisition for St. Louis and the biggest addition for the Rams during the offseason.

Considering that he might be considered an easy pick by a high percentage of Rams Nation, we will remove him from the list and present this question: of all other Rams added to the roster, which one will make the biggest impact for St. Louis in 2012?

There are some very good contenders, theoretically.

Will former 2009 Pro Bowl wide receiver Steve Smith, who is just 26, return to form after 2010 microfracture surgery and make a big splash in the approaching season?

Will Scott Wells, who was rated as the top offensive lineman for the Packers over the last two seasons, make the biggest impact?

Will Kendall Langford have a huge season playing as a three-technique defensive tackle? Langford was graded as the No. 4 defensive tackle in free agency by walterfootball.com.

Perhaps a more surprising pick will win the fan vote.

Maybe 2008 second-round pick Trevor Laws will earn votes as voters might expect him to have a breakout year.

Perhaps 26-year-old Jo-Lonn Dunbar, who played in 68 percent of the Saints' snaps in 2011, will be expected to have a huge year is a likely starting outside linebacker in the coming campaign.

It will be very interesting to see how the voting unfolds.

Again, please vote in the poll at the right and select the player that you feel will make the biggest impact in St. Louis in 2012.

In case you missed it, please go to yesterday's St. Louis Rams "Fan Poll Series" column asking Rams Nation who there current favorite player on the Rams is via this link.

Thus far, Steven Jackson is taking the most votes.  If you want to ensure that he wins or want someone to take the top spot, please vote today.
