ST. LOUIS, mo ( KTVI)â" It`s been a tough season for even the most die hard St. Louis Blues fans. The team that sputtered out of the gate rolled up enough wins to earn a top spot in the playoffs.
Then the Los Angeles Kings ended the Blues season with 4-0 sweep.
âWe`ve got all the talent in the world and we deserve to be here, we deserve to beat the kings,â said Blues fan Janie Tweed. She was among a frustrated group of fans watching the game from Bobby`s Place 141 in Valley Park.
Some fans felt injuries to key players cost them the series while others felt the Blues received the short end of the stick on a number of penalty calls. Then there were fans who felt the Kings simply outplayed the Blues.âWe`re kind of a young team and we get hot headed and took a lot of stupid penalties,â said Blues fan Brian Foust.
Other fans felt the team exceeded expectations from where the team was during the start of the season. They`re saying what some Blues fans have been saying for years, âMaybe next year,â said one fan. âI`m looking forward to it.â
