St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - The more dingers Carlos Beltran hits during the upcoming Home Run Derby, the more money Cardinals fans can save on tickets for an upcoming series.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced a unique ticket promotion Friday tied to their slugger's appearance Monday night's derby in Kansas City. For every home run Beltran hits, fans will save $1 on pavilion and terrace level tickets (currently priced at $20) for the Cardinals-Dodgers series set for July 23 through July 26.

The deal also stipulates if Carlos Beltran hits 20 or more homers, those tickets will be free for fans.

The State Farm Home Run Derby is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, July 9. The event will be telecast on ESPN. The ticket sale will take place Wednesday, July 11 at 10 a.m. If Beltran does reach 20 home runs, the Cardinals will give away approximately 5,000 tickets. There will be a limit of 4 discounted tickets per customer.
