St. Louis Rams Projected To Go 4-12 By CBSSports.com - SB Nation St. Louis (blog)

Well, it's an improvement: CBSSports.com is projecting the 2012 NFL season, and they give their projected St. Louis Rams a 4-12 record, a two-game improvement over 2011 and a reminder of just how low our expectations have gotten as Rams fans a decade after the end of the Greatest Show on Turf. The good news: columnist Pete Prisco predicts big years from Sam Bradford, who could definitely use one, and Steven Jackson.

The bad news: Imagine how much the rest of the Rams will have to underachieve to get just four wins out of 3700 yards from Bradford and 1200 yards from Jackson. Prisco's concerns are not new to Rams fans, at this point--he worries about who Bradford will have to throw to, whether Bradford even is a franchise quarterback, whether Jeff Fisher's young defense will be able to make strides as quickly as the veteran coach will want it to.

Four wins offers these Rams some room to grow--that's an improvement from Bradford, and maybe a breakout receiver, and a full season from Robert Quinn. But when you think about all the personnel on this Rams team with make-or-break seasons coming up, it's not a best-case scenario.
