St. Louis Rams weighing different options for upcoming drafts â€" NFL News

After trading their second overall draft pick to Washington Redskins, the St. Louis Rams made a clear point that they have trust in the abilities of their quarterback, Sam Bradford, but the Rams still have a few more issues, which they hoping to address in the upcoming National Football League (NFL) drafts.

Last season, Rams could only win two games in the regular season and lost 14 as they ended up at the bottom of the National Football Conference (NFC ) West division. The failure resulted in firing of the then general manager and head coach.

When the new personnel took charge of the front office, the management decided to trust Bradford, who did not have a very good last season, and came up with an option of strengthening the offensive line in terms of adding a few strong receivers, who could complement Bradford.

Rams also explored different options in the open market, but their main focus has remained on young and energetic players, who are going to join the league for the first time through the drafts.

The Rams have initiated their pre-draft visits in which the team will host the prospective players who are expected to join the professional league this year.

Recently, the Rams hosted Oklahoma State’s wide receiver, Justin Blackmon, and Mississippi State’ defensive tackle, Fletcher Cox.

According to different reports, at least 10 more prospective players are going to visit Rams’ facility within two weeks.

Notre Dame’s, Michael Floyd, LSU’s Rueben Randle, and Baylor’s Kendall Wright are among the receivers who are also expected to visit Rams.

According to different experts Wright will be the first-round pick, but some carry different opinion and consider Blackmon as the top pick.

According to NFL Network analyst Charley Casserly, Blackmon will be the top receiver. He said:

“I think Blackmon is a step ahead of everybody else and I see Floyd as the second best receiver in that group.”

Another analyst, Chad Reuter, thinks that Blackmon has a slight edge, but he has predicted a tough competition between him and Floyd. He said:

“I think Blackmon will still be ahead of Floyd but I think both could easily be top 10 picks.”

The Rams have not given any official word regarding their evaluation of the prospective players. However, things are expected to become clearer after the visits of the players are over.
