St. Louis (KSDK) -- The St. Louis Cardinals 2013 schedule was released Wednesday.

The team will kick off the 2013 season on the road and will play the Arizona Diamondbacks on April 1.

The Cardinals home opener will be against the Cincinnati Reds on April 8.

During the season, the Cardinals will play two interleague series with the Houston Astros, who will move to the American League West in 2013.  The Cardinals play the Astros in Houston June 25-26 and in St. Louis (July 9-10). The Cardinals will also play every team in the American League West as part of the club's interleague schedule.

The Cardinals will play the Chicago Cubs at Busch Stadium August 9-11, June 17-20 and September 27-29.
