St. Louis Rams: Justin Blackmon Arrested for DUI, Did the Rams Get Lucky? - Bleacher Report

Justin Blackmon has run into trouble with the law, again. According to Doug Farrar of Yahoo!, Blackmon was arrested early Sunday morning on a charge of aggravated DUI in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Blackmon was seen as the logical choice for the St. Louis Rams in the 2012 NFL Draft. Several mock drafts had Blackmon going to the Rams with the sixth overall pick. It made sense, as Blackmon was a prolific receiver at Oklahoma State, and the Rams really needed to find an elite target for quarterback Sam Bradford.

The Jacksonville Jaguars trumped all of those well-made plans on draft night, as they traded up to the fifth overall spot and drafted Blackmon. The Rams, who didn't value any of the other receivers enough to take them with the No. 6 pick, traded back to No. 14 overall and drafted LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers.

Still needing help at wide receiver, the Rams selected Brian Quick out of Appalachian State at the top of the second round (No. 33 overall). Quick was seen as an inferior prospect by some, but has been a pleasant surprise so far at Rams' training camp.

With Quick's superior size and athleticism, combined with Blackmon's arrest, are Rams' fans happy with the way things turned out?

I know when I saw the headlines about Blackmon's arrest, the fact that the Rams barely missed on him and drafted Quick instead was the first thought that crossed my mind.

At the same time, I just hope Janoris Jenkins sees what happened to Blackmon and continues to walk a straight line.
